Differential Kinetic Test Unit (DKTU)

Patented DKTU overcomes limitations of scaling kinetic parameters for heterogeneously catalyzed reactions obtained with stirred batch reactors to packed-bed reactors. Packed-bed catalysts are contained in a flow tube and flow is induced by variable speed impeller. Structured packing containing catalysts can be housed in the flow tube simulating reactive distillation.

DKTU can be configured with catalysts held in porous container bags. Containers mounted on the rotating shaft to create parallel or cross flow configuration. DKTU is ideally suited for catalyst development and in-situ activation.
